This months theme is personal for me. I have always resisted the notion of rest. I need it. I take it.  And it always feels laden with guilt and a story that I am selfish and weak. I want to change that narrative and rediscover a healthy relationship with rest.  At a cognitive level I understand the value of rest, and when I take time to rest I always come back feeling more inspired, clear and excited. I know that when I practice rest I am also a better parent, partner and leader. So why do I resist it so much?

When I came across an article called The 7 types of rest that everyone needs by Saundra Dalton-Smith last year, I realized that I had a narrow perspective on the notion of rest, and I needed to expand my way of thinking about rest, and practicing it. This is still a work in progress for me, and I would love to create the space for us to explore the many types of rest that we need, and create some space to change our practice and be more intentional about how we thinking about and plan for these 7 types of rest.

If this experience sounds familiar to you then join me for a conversation that will undoubtedly be vulnerable and will hopefully open up our hearts and minds to reframing our relationship with rest.

What you will experience in this Masterclass:

  • Expanded clarity on the various types of rest we need.
  • A new paradigm to reframe rest for you
  • Connection with other open-hearted and courageous leaders
  • An hour to focus on you and your leadership effectiveness
